Jay Nault asked:

Ohio State basketball tickets at one time gave fans the chance to see one of the most dominant programs in the United States. However, that was 40 years ago, and since then the Buckeyes have been largely known as a "football school", and for good reason. The football team produced iconic figures such as Woody Hayes, Archie Griffin, Eddie George and even current coach Jim Tressel, all of whom significantly added to Buckeyes lore.

Meanwhile, the basketball team has always been known as "good" but not "great". They did get to a Final Four in 1999, but other than a few bright years in the early 1990's with players such as Jim Jackson, the Buckeyes have not been largely known for their basketball program. That's all changed recently, and for a few definable reasons. Are the Buckeyes ready to be known as a "basketball school" or a "multiple-sports power?" We'll examine their basketball program below to see how things shake out.

Upwardly Mobile Coach

A college basketball program, perhaps more than any other non-professional sport, is defined by the coach. Thad Matta arrived in Columbus in 2004 after OSU had dismissed Jim O'Brien after a turbulent reign over the program that was successful but mired in controversy. Matta had an impressive resume based on his stints at Butler and in-state Xavier prior to heading to Ohio State, and he quickly began to place his imprint on the program.

Matta led the Buckeyes to a 20-win season in 2004-05, and he continued to build upon that start with a 26-win season in 2005-06. At that point, Matta's recruiting really placed the Buckeyes on the map, as he signed what many consider to be one of the greatest recruiting classes in history. As a result, Matta single-handedly provided an enormous boost to the sales of Ohio State basketball tickets, and for good reason. The Buckeyes are currently loaded.

Talent

As important as a coach is to a college basketball program, no team will sustain success over the long haul without talent. Talent is not the problem in Columbus, as C Greg Oden is almost certain to be the top pick in the NBA draft as soon as he decides to declare. The team has more than Oden, though - PG Mike Conley, Jr. leads the offensive attack, and Daequan Cook and Ron Lewis, a freshman and senior, respectively, add scoring punch from the perimeter and by attacking the basket.

This team also plays defense, as Oden intimidates teams in the paint, forcing opponents to deal with the Buckeyes' aggressive perimeter defense. This talent could take the Buckeyes to the Final Four, where Matta's X's and O's will also provide them with an advantage. Regardless of where they wind up, the possibility for a title is in place this season, so act now to get your Ohio State basketball tickets for a show to remember.

Rick Hendershot

Do you want tickets to your favorite show or sporting event and don't have a clue how best to go about it? You may be surprised to learn that the easiest and best way to purchase tickets for concerts, or any type of sporting event is to search the net and buy online. There are simply hundreds of different ticket exchange and retail sites that offer some of the best sport entertainment tickets and the best concert tickets available to anyone.

A few years ago I had a good friend who traveled to see the Super bowl. Even though it was supposedly sold out, he was able to get the best football tickets and the best deal by searching online and purchasing through a ticket exchange. What if he had decided to purchase them at a retail price or from a scalper? Most likely he would have paid a lot more and probably wouldn't have gotten such great seats.

Buying tickets to major entertainment events by going online isn't all that revolutionary. For many years people have been selling some of the best sport tickets through online auction sites to the highest bidder. Even in these competitive situations, most bidders found that they got the best deal on these tickets by purchasing them at auction than they would have paying face value for the tickets.

Since then the online ticket industry has been grown by leaps and bounds. Ticket clearinghouses have sprouted up by the dozen, and are only a simple internet search away. Here you'll discover that you can purchase the best seats to your favorite show or event. Everything from Broadway productions, concerts featuring the biggest and most famous performers and bands in the world, to professional football, hockey, soccer, and basketball games can be found in the offerings of these clearinghouses. If car racing or golf is your thing, you'll find it here as well. OF course, best of all, is the fact that you'll be spending less than the face value of the ticket. What could be better?

However, a word of caution. Not all ticket retailers are created equal. As in any type of business, online or otherwise, there are some less than reputable characters running some false promotions on ticket sales. That's why it's so important to choose a nationally recognized vendor for your online ticket purchase, and to ensure the safety of your transaction. It's better to be safe than sorry!

When you buy your entertainment tickets online, you give youself the ability to enjoy the very best tickets that you will ever find, for every concert and sporting event that you desire. Football, hockey, soccer, basketball, tennis, musicals, concerts and much, much more will await you. Your seats will be fantastic, and the price you pay online is a value that simply cannot be beaten. If you compare standing in line at the box office to simply browsing the internet and pressing a few buttoms, it's a no brainer. Remember, for the best seat in the house, at the lowest possible price, reserve your ticket online.

Jay Nault asked:

Kentucky basketball tickets have been cherished for generations in the Bluegrass State, and the team has long been rewarding its rabid fan base with victories in bushels. The Wildcats have won more Division I basketball games than any other school in the United States, and everything about Rupp Arena reeks of tradition and legendary figures.

However, the team, at least by Kentucky's nearly unmatched standards, has struggled in recent years, and the heat is being turned up on the program and Coach Tubby Smith. A look at the overall health of Kentucky basketball should tell us if fans can expect the team to regain its expected form, or if these expectations are simply unrealistic.

Historical Context

Kentucky is considered by some, most of those being Kentucky fans, to be the most successful college basketball program of all time. The Wildcats have won nearly 2,000 games overall and seven NCAA championships as of this writing. The team has had a slew of All Americans and Hall of Fame coaches, and many in the area consider Kentucky to be the gold standard by which all over programs are measured.

Although there's no way to quantitatively decide who really is the "best" program ever, and fans of North Carolina, Duke and UCLA would all have strong opinions of their own on the subject, the fact remains that expectations in Lexington are always sky-high. Kentucky basketball tickets are always used with the expectation of watching a team that should contend for the national title that season, and that never changes.

Current State
Coach Tubby Smith was a bit of a controversial hire when he came to Lexington, but he had early success that included a national championship in his first season in 1998. However, even that didn't quell critics who claimed he won the title with someone else's players. The nucleus of the 1998 team was recruited by former coach Rick Pittino, a revered figure in the state.

Since then, statistics and results have shown that Kentucky hasn't lived up to its tradition. The team hasn't returned to the Final Four since that year, and if they don't qualify this season, it'll mark the longest Final Four "drought" in program history. This fact above all others is what's adding volume to the fans' complaints.

Proposed reasons for this "slump" are many in number. Kentucky's recent recruiting classes have been seen by many as not being up to par with traditional recruiting hauls, and even opposing coaches have noted a drop off in Kentucky's overall talent level. Smith's style of play is also turning fans off, as his style is a departure from the run-and-gun teams of the mid-1990's that had so much success. Smith prides himself on defense and a deliberate pace, and that'd be fine if it resulted in championships every year, but it hasn't, so by logical result, the style is criticized.

Outlook

This is a critical season for Kentucky and Smith. The program in many ways is a victim of its own success, as every year the bar is set extremely high, but this year carries a different mandate - restore "pride" to UK basketball or else. This "pride" will only be restored with a run towards the SEC title and the Final Four. If Kentucky doesn't make it that far in the spring, the cries and howls will only grow louder, and Smith's position will only become more tenuous.

Regardless of how it all plays out, Kentucky basketball tickets will provide fans with an interesting show this season for several reasons, as things are sure to be interesting in Lexington over the winter.

Fishing Gear

Al Terry

To catch some truly sizzling football action, do yourself a favor and get some Cincinnati Bengals tickets. The Bengals have become famous for a number of winning plays and for putting up a rousing game of football each time they hit the field. With Cincinnati Bengals tickets, you know you're about to see some world-class football.

The Bengals are part of the National Football League and are currently affiliated with the American Football Conference and the AFC North. The team's home stadium is Paul Brown Stadium and the Bengals currently boast of six Division Championships and two Conference Championships.

Brown's Bengals

It is common knowledge that Paul Brown was an extremely important part of Bengal football and one of the reasons for high Cincinnati Bengals ticket sales. The team was formed in 1968 and under his coaching, the team notched up 15 wins, 27 losses and 1 tie in their first three seasons itself. Brown distinguished himself and the Bengals in a number of ways. Brown made it a point to recruit players who had above average intelligence as well as good game prowess. This resulted in a number of Bengal players being able to work as sports columnists, journalists and commentators later in their careers.

Brown was also adept in finding players and recognizing talent in a number of different areas. Under Brown, a number of key players emerged on the football field and Cincinnati Bengals tickets were in demand by football fans across the country. While the team won a number of Division titles and two Conference championships, a Super Bowl win remained elusive. Till date, the Bengals have not been able to win a Super Bowl title though they have made the playoffs.

The Slump

By the late 1980s, Paul Brown had already transferred much of his control over to his son. However, after Brown passed away in 1990, the Bengals began to slide dramatically in their performance. Following Brown’s death, the Bengals logged a dismal 14 seasons of consecutive losses. Sales of Cincinnati Bengals tickets began to slip as well and it became obvious that the team needed a shot in the arm in order to get back in gear. In 2003, Marvin Lewis was brought in as a new coach and the team is looking to improve their performance and aim for that elusive Super Bowl.

One of the reasons why Cincinnati Bengals tickets keep selling so well is because of the number of things the Bengals have contributed to NFL culture. One of the most memorable is what is known as the Icky Shuffle, a term used for the celebratory dance Ickey Woods would do after scoring a touchdown. The Bengals are also known for their No-Huddle Offense, which worked as a great deterrent to the rival team's defense positioning and tactics. The West Coast Offense or the Paul Brown Offense is a high-percentage passing tactic that was also made popular by the Bengals.

A number of football fans have already bought their Cincinnati Bengals tickets in anticipation of seeing the team make another go for the Super Bowl. You can catch the action as well by getting your tickets online through an authorized ticket vendor.

Rick Hendershot

Are you looking for tickets for a show or sporting event that you've been wanting to go to but you just don't know how to get them? It may surprise you to know that probably the simplest and best way is to search for and purchase them online. It doesn't matter whether it is for a concert or a sporting event. There is no better way to get tickets to the best sporting events and for the best concert tickets that anyone can find.

Purchasing tickets to big entertainment events by going online is a tried and true online activity, and has been shown to be both reliable and secure. For years, people have sold some of the best sport tickets via online auctions to the highest bidders. Even when buying with this kind of competition, many bidders discovered they got the best deals on tickets when buying them at auctions as opposed to paying face value for them.

Several years back, a good pal of mine wanted to go to the Super Bowl - one of America's premier sporting events and a perennial sellout. Although he was led to believe it was sold out, he managed to obtain the best football tickets and best deal by just searching online and buying through a ticket exchange. What if he'd opted instead to buy tickets for retail prices at the box office or from some scalper? If he even would have found tickets this way he would have had to pay much more and would not have received such fine seats.

Since then, the online ticket business has grown tremendously. Ticket clearinghouses are doing a booming business and have come to be accepted by the ticket buying public. They are are just one simple online search away. Here, you will find that you may buy the finest seats for a favorite event or show. Everything from concerts put on by the biggest and most popular performers or bands on earth, to Las Vegas shows, to Broadway productions, to professional hockey, football, soccer, and basketball games can be found if you go to the right online ticket source. If PGA golf or NASCAR racing is your cup of tea, you will find that too. Best of all you'll often end up spending far less than the ticket's face value.

A word of caution: Not all ticket sellers are equal. As in all kinds of businesses, online or brick-and-mortar, some less than trustworthy characters run false promotions for ticket sales. This is why it is so critical to pick a nationally recognized seller for the online ticket purchase, and to guarantee the safety of the transaction. It is always better to be safe than sorry! Whenever buying tickets from a website I look for contact information. I want to know if they have a physical address as well as a contact email address and phone number. For a first time purchase I usually call the number and speak to someone just to establish a contact and make sure they actually exist. This gives me a point of contact as well as insuring that there are real people at the other end of the transaction.

Brent Warnken

If you're looking for BYU Cougars tickets, go to http://www.stubhub.com/byu-football-tickets/.

The Mountain West is often overlooked in college football, but this year they've delivered some great games and a few excellent teams. In week six the best three games are Air Force-Navy, BYU-Utah State and Utah-Oregon State. However, we think you'd be better off getting BYU Cougars tickets if you had to choose only one. Because the Utah game is on Thursday, the BYU game is on Friday, and the Air Force game is Saturday, you don't have to decide if you don't want to. But if you can only get tickets for one game, make sure they're BYU Cougars football tickets.

1.BYU-Utah State: Not only is this a rivalry game out in Utah, but it's also a chance for the Cougars to deliver yet another decisive reason to the BCS that they deserve to get into the top five. Right now the Cougars are 4-0 with a No. 8 ranking, ranked No. 11 in the nation in total offense. It would be a miracle if the Aggies made a game of it, but even still counting them out at home is not an option.

2.Utah: Oregon: Fresh off their win over then-No. 1 USC, the Oregon State Beavers will take on No. 15 Utah, an undefeated team that's been getting a lot of buzz lately. The Utes and the Beavers are a very, very close second here. We gave BYU-Utah State the edge because they're traditional rivals. Will Oregon State have another upset in them? Or was last week a fluke. We'll find out on the national stage for a Thursday night game.

3.Navy-Air Force: An Armed Forces rivalry. Both teams with winning records. http://Accuscore.com says that the Falcons have the edge in this one, 60-40, but my gut says that Navy's not going to give up easily. This will come down to the fourth quarter, but I see the superior air game of (you guessed it) Air Force prevailing in the end.

4.UNLV-Colorado State: UNLV is 3-2 and Colorado State is 2-2, which makes this game more compelling than the last two on the list. On paper this looks like a very even matchup, with not a lot separating either team. We give the edge to Colorado State because they're at home and they managed to hold Houston, the nation's No. 1 team in total offense, to just 25 points (and beat them) two weeks ago.

5.Wyoming-New Mexico: New Mexico has a chance to rack up some points against Wyoming, as the Cowboys are coming off two straight losses where they've given up more than 40 points. Should be a high scoring affair with New Mexico coming out on top.

6.TCU-San Diego State: TCU looks much better on paper, but don't let the records fool you. San Diego State, even at 1-3, can do a lot of damage through the air. This is the game that's most likely to be a blowout, but that's only bad for fans of the Aztecs. If you're getting TCU tickets, then this might be the game of the week for you.

Paul Johnson

People don't go to football games to watch football. Oh, a few people do, but not enough to come close to filling the stadium. To find out who the pure fans are, you'd have to do away with the video screens, the mascots, the cheerleaders, the halftime shows, any foods more exotic than hot dogs, soft drinks and peanuts, and then see who's left in the stands. Would you still buy a ticket?

Football is more than a game; it's also a business. The business of football has grown because the promise included with each ticket has grown to appeal to more than just the pure fans. Does your business cater solely to your pure fans? If so, you're sitting on a tremendous growth opportunity.

No One Wants Your Product

We forget that people don't really want our product; they want what they can do with our product. Take coffee as an example. If we focus on the coffee itself, it's easy to get caught up in the price per pound or per cup, and the qualities that make coffee taste good or bad. Yet when we think about what we can do with the coffee, those factors become almost insignificant.

The place where coffee is served (the coffee shop) becomes the backdrop for a social event with friends or business acquaintances; the price of the coffee becomes insignificant. Perhaps coffee is the warm, comforting friend that accompanies us on our journey into the new book we just picked up at a Barnes and Noble book store. Whenever we buy coffee or football tickets or your product or service, we are buying much more than what the label on the package indicates.

Get a Feel for the Game

Football organizations discovered long ago they can enjoy significant boosts in business by looking at all the ways to serve their customers during a football game. By expanding the core product -- the game on the field -- to appeal to a larger audience, their market grows beyond the pure fans to include their spouses, other family members and their friends. In the process, football organizations enjoy multiple up-sell opportunities while engendering customer loyalty that keeps fans coming back. You don't have to love football to love going to a football game.

While your product or service may not be as flashy and exciting as football, you can apply football's marketing lessons to improve your market share, revenues and profits. If you don't, you risk seeing your sales fall flat and watching business go to your competition. If companies can apply these marketing principles to a product as simple as coffee, you can win using these strategies, too.

Unfortunately, we may be too close to our product to successfully apply these principles. We likely know the features and benefits of our product inside and out, and understand all the things our customers can do with our product. What's more important is that we step back and work to understand how people feel while using our product. Find out the feelings your customers associate with using your product or service, and then think of ways to give them more of those feelings. Here are three ways you can do that.

1. Ain't I Social!

Many people use a product or service as an excuse to get together with other people. Football tickets, coffee shops, birthday cakes, bowling leagues - people may buy these products solely to enjoy the feelings they get when they're experiencing them with other people.

Think of ways to get people who share a common interest in your product or service to socialize around it. Consider:

*** Conferences

*** Online chat rooms

*** Reunions

*** Rallies

*** User groups

*** Advanced training sessions

*** Charitable work

Any event, really, can be the perfect excuse for your customers to gather and experience the great positive feelings that will generate customer loyalty and keep them coming back for more.

2. Make it Memorable

When customers have a good experience with your product, they'll want to repeat it so they can recreate those good feelings. Ideally our customers will talk about their experience with their friends and associates long after the experience is over. You can extend the power of this word of mouth effect. Help your customers remember their positive feelings long after the experience that created them is over.

Memories are heightened when emotions are involved. The stronger the emotions, the stronger the feelings, the longer and more powerfully we remember them. At football games we watch instant replays of key moments; the turning points and dazzling plays worth remembering. We buy programs that allow us to engage at a deeper level with the personal aspects of the players. Sometimes we're provided with heart-stopping opportunities to win prizes. Souvenirs allow us to take the football game home with us; we can relive the feelings we had at the game simply by looking at or holding our souvenir.

Get your customers emotionally involved so they'll long remember the positive experiences they have with your product or service.

*** Provide mementos.

*** Give them a chance to win something.

*** Deliver a nice surprise they don't expect.

*** Give them moments with industry celebrities.

*** Take pictures, especially of them, to give them vivid reminders of the great experience they had.

Do these things, and they'll do business with you over and over again.

3. Include the Fringe

Around your core customers -- the pure fans -- is a fringe of secondary customers you can easily access. These secondary customers may be spouses or friends of your core customers who are easily reached through viral marketing. Give thought as to how to provide for their social needs and create positive, memorable feelings that will encourage them to try you once and then come back again and again.

The football business has this figured out. The football lovers in a household have an easier time getting to games when their non-football-loving spouse is eager to go with them. That's why a football ticket provides so much more than the game these days. While marketing the game to pure fans is a simple endeavor, football becomes a much better business when the offer is expanded to include the social and emotional aspects that appeal to the secondary market. For example, the Super Bowl has become more of a party than a game. People plan for and look forward to the huge social event that engulfs this championship game. Millions watch the Super Bowl on TV, yet few watch it alone.

Get in touch with your market and work to understand who your secondary customers are. Coffee shops gladly sell tea and soft drinks so their "regulars" can easily bring along their non-coffee drinking friends. Expand your marketing to include these secondary customers and you can boost your sales revenues by 50% and more.

The Game of Change

Football as a game hasn't changed much over the decades. The proposal to permit challenge flags supported by video review was carefully debated by National Football League (NFL) officials before its adoption, all because the League knows this; never alienate your pure fans. They are the bedrock of your business. Keep delivering the solid, consistent product that keeps them coming back for more.

Don't focus on improving your product. Instead, focus on improving the product experience. Once you understand the positive feelings your customers experience by using your product or service, look for ways to extend that experience. Sure, cream and sugar go with coffee. But so does a soft chair and soothing music. So does a well-written book of fiction. So does a table surrounded by family or friends.

Football is a game and it is a business. Look at your business like a game. How does it feel to do business with you today? Make your business social. Make it memorable. Make your business the game your customers are eager to play.

Carl Martin

Looking for great Big Ten football tickets? Head on over to http://www.stubhub.com/big-ten-football-tickets/.

The Big Ten heads into week three of the college football season with plenty of great matchups in store for fans who are lucky enough to have gotten tickets. We list the top three Big Ten games coming up.

The Big Ten offers another great round of key matchups this weekend. Although it would have been nice if Ohio State and USC had been one-two at this point, a one-five matchup isn't all that bad either. Needless to say, we listed the USC-Ohio State game as the best game to see in this conference in week three.

1. USC - Ohio State: Taking place at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the home of the Trojans, ought to give USC a little bit of an edge. However, the history between these two teams might could go either way All-time, USC has a 52-19-1 (73%) record versus teams in the Big Ten, meaning that historically, teams from the Midwest trying to get a win in L.A. usually come away with nothing of the sort. However, Ohio State has been dominating their games versus the Pac-10 lately. Since 1991, the Buckeyes are 11-2 versus the Pacific. http://Accuscore.com predicts that the Trojans are the heavy favorites in this game, by roughly 75%, although it should be noted that the Trojans have only played one game this season, a dominating win over Virginia. Will they come out rested and prepared, or lazy and dull?

2. Notre Dame - Michigan: Two of the biggest rivals in all of sports, not just college football- although in college football there are probably only a handful of other rivalries that cause more of a stir. Notre Dame and Michigan are set to do battle this Saturday, and you'd be wise to either get some Big Ten tickets to the game, or make sure your favorite couch is going to be unoccupied for the whole afternoon, because this one ought to be good. Both teams enter the game not looking entirely sharp. The Irish struggled for most of their first game versus SDSU before eventually looking Irish and gaining a win. Michigan lost their opener to Utah and then barely beat Ohio (not State). Even though Michigan and Notre Dame are the two winningest college football programs in history, one of them is going to lose this weekend. http://Accuscore.com is setting the Fighting Irish as the slight favorites, with a 56% chance of winning.

3: Wisconsin - Fresno State: This one is really a toss up for your average fan. We wish it were week four so we could select four games. On the one hand, you have two ranked, undefeated teams playing one another in Wisconsin (#10) vs. Fresno State (#21). You hardly ever get a WAC-Big Ten matchup of this caliber. On the other hand, you have a Hawkeye State rivalry when Iowa and Iowa State face one another, both of whom are undefeated. If you live in Iowa, you have your allegiance, but otherwise, we would suggest you either get tickets for or watch the Badgers-Bulldogs game this weekend.

Al Terry asked:

The Bobcats have build up a strong fan base quite quickly and this can be seen in the sale of Charlotte Bobcats basketball tickets. The Charlotte Bobcats became a NBA franchise in the year 2003. Earlier that year, the NBA Board of Governors had agreed to give the city of Charlotte their very own basketball team. Bernie Bickerstaff became the head coach and the general manager of the team.

The residents of Charlotte had felt cheated when in 2001 the Charlotte Hornets moved to New Orleans and became the New Orleans Hornets. Ever since then, the residents of Charlotte had been demanding their very own basketball team.

A New Team

With Bickerstaff as the coach, prospects looked great for the team and for the Charlotte Bobcats basketball tickets. Bernie Bickerstaff came with twenty-nine years of experience. He had twelve years of experience as an assistant head coach, ten years as a head coach, and seven years as general manager. In addition to a great head coach, the team also got their starting five. Jason Hart (guard), Gerald Wallace (forward), Tamar Slay (small forward/guard), Emeka Okafor (power forward), and Primoz Brezec (center) were the starting five.

Another great thing going for the team is that, it is jointly owned by the great Michael Jordan, Robert L. Johnson, and Cornell “Nelly” Haynes. Presently the team is part of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. They play their home games at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena, located in uptown Charlotte.

Great Season Ahead

As you can see the Bobcats is a very young team and has done pretty well for itself. In their first season, they won just 18 games, but in their next season, they improved their scores by winning 26 games. Then in their last season, they won 33 games. They are improving and the fans are always out there supporting their home team by buying up Charlotte Bobcats basketball tickets, jerseys, and other memorabilia.

In the last season, that is 2006-2007, the Bobcats finished fourth place in the Southeast Division. This was bad news for the team and the fans alike. So Michael Jordan stirred things up for the team. He replaced Bernie Bickerstaff with a new Head Coach, Sam Vincent. It is a young team and plus they have some great players like, Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor.

In the coming season, The Bobcats will be put through some tough tests as they will be facing some of the fieriest rivals like, the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angles Lakers. Therefore, Charlotte Bobcats basketball tickets are going to be up for grabs and every fan would want to lay their hands on them.

Fans can purchase their Charlotte Bobcats basketball tickets online, which is easy and convenient. All they have to do is find an authorized online ticket broker and check on their inventory. While on the site they can check out the seating arrangements at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena and see which one they would like to have. Then simply order online and give 6 to 24 hours for the tickets to be delivered at your home. The online process is secure and very easy to use.

Yard, Garden and Outdoor Living

Al Terry

Catch Football Fever With NFL Tickets

NFL tickets aren't that easy to get nowadays. That's because the NFL has more fans than ever and the game's popularity has never been at this height. With the advent of virtual games like fantasy football and video games, the appeal of football tickets seems to have skyrocketed.

Facts And Figures

The National Football League or NFL was established in 1920 and currently consists of thirty-two teams, all of which are based in the United States. The league is further divided into conferences and divisions. Teams must go through conference and division wins to be eligible for the championships, known as the Super Bowl. Because sales of NFL tickets for the Super Bowl are so high, television has stepped in to provide coverage of the games. And as an example of how popular the Super Bowl is on TV, consider this- advertising spots for the Super Bowl are the most coveted and the most expensive.

Though baseball is often referred to as the National Pastime of America, it's the NFL that draws the biggest crowds, bar none. Not only is it the most popular in the country, it also brings in the most crowds of any professional sports league in the entire world. Statistics show that each game draws around 67000 people.

NFL Folklore

One of the most fascinating aspects of the NFL is its brand of folklore that has been passed down over the years. While most of the incidents are passed down through the fans, sports writers and the media have also been responsible for a large amount of folklore. As a result, some accounts are very colorful while others seem to be completely mythical. The majority of them give a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of the game.

Football fans with NFL tickets way back in 1934 were witness to what is now called The Sneakers Game. During this game, the Bears played in basketball shoes for better traction on the frozen field. In 1958, the Colts and Giants took part in what is known as The Greatest Game Ever Played. 17 players of that game went on to enter the NFL Hall of Fame. During the late eighties, the NFL hosted the Bounty Bowls, which were two games which pitted the Cowboys against the Eagles. Both games were marked by fiery tempers and a number scuffles. The second Bounty Bowl was even worse because of rowdy fans that began throwing anything they could find, ranging from snowballs to batteries.

Fans that had NFL tickets in 1993 were treated to a game that has gone down in history as the greatest comeback ever in professional football. It happened during a game between the Oilers and the Bills in which the latter team stormed to victory even when they were 32 points down.

Today, watching an NFL game is an experience to be savored. A number of fans take the game very seriously, having special game traditions or costumes that they wear. You'll probably see a few Hollywood celebrities in the stands too, cheering their favorite teams on. If you don't feel like braving the crowds for game passes, then simply order them online. You can get in touch with an authorized online ticket vendor for NFL tickets.
